Our favourite Barbiecore pieces
What does Barbiecore mean?
Barbie, before anything else, is about having fun, being yourself, and most importantly believing in yourself. The pop culture icon’s uber-pink aesthetic and fashion-forward outfits are just an added bonus.
The Barbiecore trend is a mix of nostalgic Y2K fashion (that we all undoubtedly dressed our own dolls in) and timeless pieces which are always in style. The trend can also be a mix of head-to-toe pink ensembles or slightly more subtle fits where the bold accessories or shoes really pop. Honestly, there are no rules to this trend!
And as adults, our Barbiecore aesthetic needs to fit into our everyday wardrobe — whether you’re headed to the office, out on the town, red carpets or even the gym.
So if you’re looking to dive head first into this trend, close the Pinterest mood board and check out all the products you’ll need to get the Barbie look and live the fantasy.

Kanya London Tie Back Long Sleeve Crop Top In Magenta Pink Satin
From South-Asian-owned brand Kanya London, who pledge to redefine classic occasion wear by giving it a modern twist, comes this stunning magenta satin crop top.

Kara Rose Fringed Oversized Blazer
You save £44.70 (30%)£149
If you’re looking to emanate the cowgirl vibe like Margot Robbie in the ‘Barbie’ trailer, why not try this fringed blazer?
Seriously, we can’t think of a single reason why we don’t love this. While we absolutely adore the matching fringe trousers perfect for rounding off the cowboy vibe, we think Barbie herself would approve of this blazer with any fit.

Crop Cable-Knit Cardigan
One thing we love about Barbie is that she’s always put together (wish we could relate!). So even on casual days at home or the office, we think this cute crop pink cardigan is the perfect addition to your wardrobe.
Made with 57% cotton, this cardigan is super soft and is sure to keep you cosy on breezy summer days.

DAISY STREET Y2K Strappy Butterfly Crop Top
You save £9.99 (28.55%)£34.99
If you spent your days in the early 2000s playing with and dressing up Barbies, then you’ll know this is the exact type of top she would have worn —the embroidered butterfly is totally giving us Fairytopia vibes, too.
This sequinned piece is adorable, and we can’t think of a better embodiment of Y2K fashion.
Photo: Nobody's Child
Frankie Kick Flare Trouser
We can totally see ‘Business Barbie’ wearing these bright pink flare trousers to slay a boardroom. And if you really want to nail the corporate vibe, we recommend purchasing the matching blazer.
These sweet trousers are made from recycled polyester, so not only will you look great, you’re doing your bit to save the world — very much Barbie if you ask us!

Pink Metallic Heart Cut Out Mini Skirt
You save £5 (20.83%)£24
This metallic skirt is the perfect combination of cute and sexy — it’s ideal for a night out on the town.
The cut-out heart is just daring enough to grab the attention of everyone, but in a place where you don’t need to worry about any unfortunate slips (what more could you want?).

Signature 8 embellished pocket edge straight leg jean in mid wash
These bedazzled jeans may not be pink, but rest assured, they still have glam factor!
They’re great for a night out, but can also be easily toned down with a tank top and trainers.

Ballerina A Hot Pink Barbiecore Satin Dress
We literally cannot get enough of this dress; from the dreamy shade of pink to the subtle cloud print on the satin and the adorable puff sleeves.
The detachable belt comes with a large bow, which looks great on the dress, but can also be worn in your hair for a more fun look.
Photo: Anthropologie
Hutch V-Neck High-Low Gown
If there’s one item on this list we wish we’d had for our Barbie dolls, it’s undoubtedly this stunning gown from Anthropologie.
The petal-inspired neckline and high-low hem combine to create an elegant vibe and make this the perfect dress to pair with some statement heels. The piece comes in both straight and plus sizes, meaning everyone can live their Barbie princess fairytale, no matter their body type.

UO Pink Iris Floral Halterneck Mini Dress
Halterneck dresses with subtle rara skirts are definitely one of our favourite Y2K comebacks. The delicate rose pattern here is mesmerising and we’re sure we had similar dresses for our own Barbie dolls.
We love the ruched bodice and versatility of this dress — pair it with a denim jacket and trainers for a cool daytime look or opt for heels and sparkly Barbiecore accessories for a night out.

Miss Selfridge boucle double breasted blazer dress in pink
If you prefer a more preppy look, this double-breasted pink blazer dress is perfectly business chic, and we think it would look great at high tea with the girls.
This dress definitely looks more expensive than it is, and would go perfectly with simple white slingbacks to keep the elegant vibe going.
Photo: Reiss
Reiss Eden Trench Coat
Any outfit you wear with this hot pink coat is automatically elevated by the traditional trench silhouette. We love the more relaxed look if you leave the coat open, but also the more sophisticated look if you wear it done up.
This coat is the perfect blend of function and stylish as it keeps you cosy and looking great.

Stand Studio Camille Cocoon Faux Shearling Coat
You save £82 (35.04%)£234
If you’re looking for a slightly more fun coat, then we recommend this beautiful faux-shearling one. The fluffy material is sure to keep you warm and toasty during the colder months, plus the bubblegum pink colour is one Barbie herself would be proud to don.
Photo: Gymshark
Gymshark Legacy Leggings
You save £20 (50%)£40
This updated version of the iconic Gymshark leggings will be your best friend in the gym — the high waistband offers comfort and support and we suggest pairing with the matching legacy sports bra to complete your workout fit.

Sleeper Light Pink Party Pyjama Set
Ok these pyjamas might be a little extra, but we couldn't resist. The matching shirt and bottoms are lined with fluffy feathers on the trims, and the light pink is just adorable.
While these are pyjamas, if you’re feeling slightly more daring, we think with the right pair of shoes, accessories (and confidence), these pjs could very well be your outfit for a night out on the town.
Photo: Boux Avenue
Amelia satin cami set
If you’re looking for some more practical pyjamas, we suggest this sweet sweet set from Boux Avenue. The baby pink satin gives a cute vibe, and the hot pink lace trim adds just a hint of sexy — perfect for when your Ken is staying over!
Made from 100% recycled polyester with a silky satin finish, this is definitely a winner in our eyes. If you’re looking to complete the look, then definitely purchase the matching robe.

Pimkie satin platform heel in hot pink
We love these bright pink platform heels, and think they’re a much more wearable (and affordable) version of the Versace Medusa heels — and who doesn’t love a good dupe?
The chunkier heel means they’ll be easier to wear for an extended period of time, letting you live out your Y2K fantasy all night long.
Photo: John Lewis
Mango Plom Feather Detail High Heal Sandals
Don’t these beautiful fluffy heels remind you of the plastic pink sparkly ones you’d have as a child? These statement shoes are the perfect addition to an already bold outfit, or a great way to elevate a more simple fit.
The mid-heel is super wearable and the long wrap tie means they’ll stay secure on your feet as long as you want.
Photo: New Balance
New Balance 550s
While Barbie is usually seen in a heel, you might fancy a comfier, everyday alternative. We adore these baby pink 550’s from New Balance.
Probably the most popular trainer on the market right now, 550’s are super comfortable and stylish, and we love this more feminine take on the regular white colourway. If these have caught your eye, hurry up, we don’t think they’ll stay in stock very long!

Floral Lace Earrings
These floral lace earrings are not for you if you want to blend into the background as you’re sure to stand out from the crowd whenever you wear these.
We love the contrast between the bright pink and green in these earrings and think they’re a great way to jazz up any outfit in the coming spring and summer months. We particularly like how the lace material gives them a slightly dainty feel.
Photo: Urban Outfitters
Silence + Noise Iridescent Flower Hoop Earrings
You save £3 (25%)£12
If you prefer the Y2K vibe of Barbiecore outfits, then we cannot recommend these iridescent flower hoop earrings enough.
The jewellery is a great blend of subtle and quirky — they’re not too big, and just shiny enough to catch the sun in the best ways. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Barbie and her friends wearing these in different colours.
Photo: Monica Vinader
Siren Mini Nugget Necklace Adjustable 46cm/18'
Sometimes less is more. If that’s your general style philosophy, but you still want some of that Barbie magic in your outfits, we can’t think of a better accessory than this stunning necklace from Monica Vinader.
The stone is natural pink quartz and the chain is made from recycled gold and silver.

Daisy Street woven mini bag in hot pink
You save £3 (15%)£20
Not only is this woven bag ultra-affordable, it’s also pretty adorable. The woven fabric reminds of us the handbags we’d have as a child, but with a more elevated feel.
We think this piece works best as a going-out bag, since it’s probably not quite big enough to carry all your day-to-day essentials. Pair the bag with neutral jeans and a top to make it pop, or with an already-bold ensemble.
Photo: JW PEI
Joy Shoulder Bag
How cute is this bag? The colour is the perfect pink and the adjustable strap means it works well as both a crossbody and shoulder bag. The distorted shape of the bag is really on-trend now, but we also think it has a timeless appeal to it.
Made with vegan leather and available in 10 different colourways, this piece can be enjoyed by everyone.
Our verdict: what are the best Barbiecore outfits?
With so many styles and careers, it’s understandable that Barbie has a super wide sense of fashion. For many of us growing up, she was a symbol that we can be anything, while also looking super stylish.
If you’re looking for fashionable daytime items, we can’t recommend enough the tank top and cable knit cardigan from Hollister. Whereas if you’re looking for a more business-chic vibe, then we love these flare trousers from Nobody’s Child or this Miss Selfridge blazer dress.
However, if something that wouldn’t look out of place at the Met Gala is more your style, then this strapless grown from Anthropologie cannot be missed out on. Alternatively, on the other side of the coin, this fringed blazer from Warehouse is a must-have for your next rodeo.
No matter what Barbiecore outfits you go for, remember that the essence of Barbie is not only looking good but feeling good!
‘Barbie’, which stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken (among many other stars), is out now! Watch the official trailer here.
