We came for the gymnastics but stayed for Rebeca Andrade’s stunning makeup looks. The Brazilian gymnast not only gave Simone Biles fierce competition (winning gold in the Women’s Floor competition), but she also dazzled with her sultry, show-stopping eye makeup. Here are three of her most creative eye looks and step-by-step tutorials on how to recreate them.
Graphic multichrome liner
The base for this striking look is a wing liner in Danessa Myricks Twinflame Multichrome Pigment in Soulmate. If you want, you can even start by lining your upper lash line and extending a wing at the end. Next, create a floating liner just above your crease with Danessa Myricks Twinflame Multichrome Pigment in Obsession. Once you reach the outer corner, continue the line, connecting it to the wing.
Gold Shadow and Winged Liner
It’s time to get creative. Start by applying a pigmented gold shadow, like Danessa Myricks Beauty ColorFix 24-Hour Cream Color Foil in Nebula or Nightcap, in your inner corners. Next, use a precise black liner to create a sharp wing. Then, angle the line upwards towards the tail of your brow and curve it around to create a connecting floating liner. Next, draw a third line across the crease of your lid. Finish by using Viseart Eye Liner Pencil in Intense Gold to add dotted accents between the line below your brow and across your crease.
Yellow Double-Winged Liner
The third and final makeup look features a bold yellow eye shadow coupled with a unique double winged liner. Let’s break it down—start with a pigmented matte yellow shadow, like MOB Beauty Cream Clay Eyeshadow in M113. Next, create a black wing with Natasha Denona Macro Tech Eye Crayon in Black, extending both at the outer corner and inner corner of your eye. The final touch—draw a second wing above the first one with Viseart Eye Liner Pencil in Intense Gold, curving it around your yellow lid. Finish off with a lengthening mascara, like Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara.
